HOW IT ALL STARTED
The fan club was originally formed in 1990 by several area Elvis Presley fans and held an initial membership campaign at a local shopping mall in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The club founders soon realized that their admiration of Elvis was felt by many others in the area. The growing membership gathered for monthly meetings and received Elvis news via a mailed club newsletter. This of course was prior to the high availability and usage of the internet and access to smartphones.
In addition the members gathered for club dinners, annual tribute nights, concerts and conventions. These events gave the opportunity for the club to raise funds with proceeds benefiting local and national charities.
The fan club has officially been registered with Elvis Presley Enterprises since our inception in 1990.
“Since the inception of the club the focus was not only to bring awareness of Elvis as a great entertainer but also as a humble and charitable human being.
PHILOSOPHY
Since the inception of the club the focus was not only to bring awareness of Elvis as a great entertainer but also as a humble and charitable human being. As Elvis did during his lifetime, the club focuses on providing charitable donations to a local charity ‘Dream Come True’ which provides benefits for seriously, chronically and terminally ill children. In addition the club has provided donations to St. Jude Children Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee originally founded by Danny Thomas and an organization that Elvis supported during his lifetime. The fan club is a non profit organization with all proceeds benefiting our charities after expenditures.
Throughout our over 30 years of existence the club has assured that we represented Elvis in a manner that he would have approved of and like our club name make sure it was always about Elvis.

HISTORY
As mentioned the fan club hosted annual tribute nights as well as several conventions and concerts through the years. In 1997 the fan club was honored to have Elvis’ original backup vocal group the Jordanaires be part of our event which also featured Jimmy ‘Orion’ Ellis. During the day fans attended a convention with the opportunity to add merchandise from Elvis dealers from the U.S. and Canada and participated in a Q&A session during an interview with the Jordanaires and Jimmy Ellis. The event concluded with an evening concert with proceeds benefited our local club charity.
The club has had the opportunity to visit Elvis home Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee several times and was fortunate enough to be featured by MSNBC during Elvis Week. The news entity followed the club during a club trip to get a fans perspective of the experience visiting Elvis related locations including Sun Studios, his birthplace in Tupelo and his home Graceland.
Throughout the years the fan club would attend local and regional events including Elvis related shows, concerts and movie screenings. The club even rented out a local movie theater to watch movies - Elvis of course!
