Fan Club Begins Charity Distribution during the holidays

The Always Elvis Fan Club motto of ‘Sharing The Legacy, Giving To Charities’ has come to the second phase to support our fan club charities. Throughout the year we shared the legacy of Elvis Presley by culminating live events in our virtual studio, connected on social media with insights and more on the king.

Now, thanks to the gracious contributions of our Legacy Members we begin to distribute this funds to our charities. On December 2nd, we were invited to the Dream Come True Telethon as they support the cause of children that are seriously, chronically and terminally ill by providing them a dream. The fan club provided a donation in the amount of $1,500 for Dream Come True for a charity we have supported for 35 years since the club’s existence.

Throughout the calendar year we utilized eBay for Charity in which 100% of the proceeds for items supplied or donated by club members went to St. Jude Children Research Hospital. Along with the previously provided sale items we are scheduled to provide an additional donations of $1,000 to St. Jude matching the total donations provided to Dream Come True.

In addition, we asked Legacy Members to provide suggested charities that they felt at a local level Elvis would have loved to support. We are working on providing some funds to three charities for the first time later in December. We will provide support to the Shriners Children’s Hospital that is a speciality hospital for a children’s burn unit, the Mid South Food Bank in Memphis that provides food for the less fortunate and lastly the Almost Home Foundation a group that supports the rehoming of Dogs and Cats through an adoption program. Elvis supported many charities within his community of Memphis, children hospitals and was an animal lover himself.

We will provide further updates to Legacy Members throughout the holidays.
