Baz Luhrmann's 'Elvis' And More Now On HBOMax

The Baz Luhrmann movie ‘Elvis’ starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks will arrive on HBO Max on Friday September 2nd starting at 3 AM EST. After its original release in theaters June 24th it finally hits the streaming service 70 days after the theater release.

The film has grossed over $277 million worldwide against its $85 million budget, becoming the second highest-grossing music biopic of all-time behind Bohemian Rhapsody . It received generally positive reviews from critics, with praise for Butler's performance, the costume design and the musical sequences.

Although the Baz movie does not follow fact over fiction to a T, the movie does relive the early days of the king and throughout his career.

The movie will also be available on Blu-Ray/DVD/4K with the release set for September 13, 2022.
