Christmas At Graceland TV Special (Update)
Christmas at Graceland will premiere on Nov. 29 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. It will air immediately following NBC's annual presentation of Christmas at Rockefeller Center which begins at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
Like its title implies, the special will take place at Graceland and will feature some of today's performers. Actress Riley Keough, who is Elvis Presley's granddaughter and now sole owner of Graceland said in a release, "My family and I are elated to open the doors to Graceland in this first-of-its-kind special." Keough, who is also an executive producer, added, "With intimate musical performances drawing inspiration from my grandfather Elvis’s cherished Christmases in Memphis, viewers will be invited to experience firsthand the magic that is Christmas at Graceland.”
“To celebrate the holidays at Graceland, and be a part of the King’s legacy, is both an honor and absolute dream come true,” said Jen Neal, executive vice president, live events and specials, NBCUniversal Media Group. “We thank Riley and her family for allowing all of us to visit her grandfather’s iconic home and share an intimate musical experience that Elvis would’ve truly loved.”
Christmas at Graceland will be a live music special bringing together the legacy of Elvis Presley and the spirit of the holiday season. The first musical holiday special of its kind televised live from the estate, viewers will also get to see Graceland decorated for the holidays.
Although the performers have not been announced perhaps there is some clues of who may be on the special. Recently country artist Kane Brown released a posthumous duet with Elvis performing Blue Christmas. As well JXL who did the remix of ‘Little Less Conversation’ is said to have an Elvis Christmas mix in the works.
